Welcome to our website.
Our names are Jon & Donna. We originated from just outside west London, not far from Heathrow Airport. Tired of the busy, noisy life we had, we decided to sell up in search of a more peaceful one, so here we are in Northants.
The catalyst for the big move was back in May 2000, when we bought our
first Basset Hound. Her name is Lily and she changed our lives. We became
involved in showing her, which has made us some wonderful friends on the
way.
Just 5 minutes away are some wonderful countryside walks, which
the dogs love. However our dream is to move again to something a little more
rural, somewhere with more space for us all.
Our hounds enjoy having free run of our very large garden and live in the house with us.
We would just like to say our hounds, along with all the other bassets we know, (and we know lots) all lead active healthy lives, contrary to what a recent TV programme and the press have lead the general public to believe.
Basset hounds have been long and low since as early as the 1500's, the first written documentation of a basset type hound was in the mid 1600's, the word basset actually means 'Low Set', the basset we have today has not changed at all since the 1800's. As a breed, bassets do not suffer from arthritis or any of the other conditions that have been reported, in general they are a healthy, happy and active dog that is quite capable of covering many miles per day. The basset breeders we know only have the good of the breed at heart and in-breeding is not common place in bassets.

Apart from the dogs, our other love is music, and some of our favourite bands are German Heavy metal group Rammstein, Iron Maiden and Marilyn Manson.
