Dru was bred by Wendy Fairbrother (Brunell) and is our foundation bitch, she gained a couple of Best Puppies at open show level as a youngster. Dru had two lovely litters for us (Sire Broomhurst Michigan at Houndsbay) producing our first home bred bitch Houndsbay Gertrude. Dru is a real character and definately the matriarch of the pack.
Dru has now retired from her motherly duties.
Edie was also bred by Wendy Fairbrother and is half sister to Dru (they have the same dam). Edie is a very pretty feminine bitch and a real lady, she is such a sweet natured girl. She was shown as a youngster but never really enjoyed the show scene very much so we chose not pursue it. She gave us two stunning litters (sires CH. Dereheath Marcus Aurelius & Dereheath Don Toro) in her first litter she produced Houndsbay Wild Hearted Son.

Gertie is our first home bred bitch, she is a total clown and has a very strong character like her mother Dru. She was shown lighly as a youngster but judges I think found her a bit masculine for a bitch so she didnt do as well as we had hoped, at the end of the day we love her. she produced two lovely litters for us (sire Houndsbay Wild Hearted Son) her son Houndsbay Donatello is currently being shown by a good freind and her daughter Houndsbay Jezebeth who we kept from her first litter.

Nelly is a daughter of Dylan and Gertie when she was born she was very tiny only weighing 10oz. we bonded with her from the day she was born and couldnt bear to part with her. She is very individual in both character and looks, she has done well in the show ring and is being consistantly placed. She has a very sweet nature like her sire.
Venice was imported from Belgium, she was originally bred in France by Mme V. Thonnen-Duez. A big thank you to Tom and Etelka of Avaluer Du Sabre basset hounds for allowing us to have Venice, she was shown as a youngster and gained 2 CAC's & 1 CACIB. When I first saw Venice I fell in Love with her beautiful deep red colouring and sweet, gentle character back in Jan 2010. Venice had two litters for Tom and Etleka producing 3 champions from the first litter she had CH. Grace Avaleur Du Sabre & CH. Gladys Avaleur Du Sabre in her second CH. Istria Avaleur Du Sabre. We had one final litter with her, the sire (CH. Malrich Sir Ruff Diamond) producing Houndsbay Vienna.

Vienna has been tested by the BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme UNAFFECTED G (tested on 13/05/12)
Vienna has the sweet, quiet character of her mother Venice. She was the only female in the litter but from early on we realised she was something special. She has been in a few shows todate and has done well qualifying for Crufts 2012 in her first show.
