This page will keep you updated on the progress of the puppies from Dru's second litter, which were born on 3rd August 2006. Please read about Dru's first litter from June 2005, and Edie's first litter from November 2006.
Jake & Dru's second and final litter have now all gone to their new homes, they have all settled in there has been the odd sleepless night while they settled in to their new surroundings but apart from that everyone is doing well . Below as before with our first litter we hope to keep you updated on how the puppies are doing with new photo's of them as they grow up.
....went to live with another basset called Millie who is quite an old lady, but apparently still thinks she is a puppy herself!! He has settled in very nicely as you can see from his photo's. His owners have had bassets for many years and he is already a very much loved and spoilt member of his new family.
30/01/2007 - We have received 3 new photos of Buford, and a short video clip suitable for both broadband (1.0mb) & dial-up (124kb) users.

....has gone to a lovely couple who are first time dog owners, but so far they have done really well with her. She took a little time to settle in, but is now a firm member of her new family. She is a very pretty little girl and very photogenic. We have some really lovely photo's of her some of which I think will be going on our Christmas cards this year!!

....is a stunning boy, he had quite unusual markings in that he was basically white apart from the odd bit of red here and there. He is also very nicely put together puppy.
He definitely had something special, we felt from a show point of view, but unfortunately he had an incorrect eye colour for showing, so he has gone to a wonderful home who already have a basset called Elvis. Hector has settled in very well and made himself right at home. He is a real cuddly little man and has been getting lots of fuss made of him. I am looking forward to seeing how this gorgeous boy turns out.
12/10/2006 - We received these gorgeous photo's of Hector today, along with his companion Elvis. As you can see he is going to be a very handsome young man.
29/10/2006 - Here are some new photo's of Hector. What can I say, he just gets more and more scrumptious each time I see him. He is now getting on really well with his friend Elvis, who wasn't too sure at first, but now they are best buddies.
05/12/2006 - We received some gorgeous photo's of Hector from his owners. We could not believe what a big boy he is, considering he is still only 4 months old!!!

28/10/2007 - We went to visit Hector and his owners today, it was so lovely to see him again. Hector was very special to us as a pup and we became very attached to him. He has grown into a stunning boy and has the most loving gentle nature, we took along Grace and Mia for him to meet and he was such a gentleman.
26/12/2007 - We had some sad news from Hectors owners. We were very sorry to hear they sadly lost Elvis, Hectors companion just before Christmas, he was 9 years old and suffered a short illness.

....have gone to live together in an experienced basset home. Henri reminded me very much of Jake as a puppy, he is a really nice looking young man, very laid back and gentle. Margot was a bit different and a very strong minded young lady, but again a nice looking girl. They have both settled in with their new family which includes two cats!!
17/10/2006 - We received just these lovely photos of Henri & Margot. Both pups are very good with their toilet training and ask to go out, which is excellent in such young pups, they also get on well with the resident cats.
Henri is a really gentle boy and is very calm and sweet, where as Margot is a bit of a tearaway and gets into everything she can, Chalk and Cheese come to mind! Poor Henri got stung by a wasp on his nose, but is ok after lots of cuddles and sympathy, the said wasp is now squished.
29/10/2006 - We have some new photo's of Henri & Margot. Poor Henri managed to get himself stung again!! This time on his face causing an allergic reaction, thankfully with some treatment from the vet he made a very quick recovery, lets hope in future he has learned his lesson and stays away from things that buzz!!

....this sweet little man was the smallest of the boys, but a dear little chap - very cute. He is living with an experienced basset family and with a basset called Troy, they are apparently best of friends. He has quite a big personality for his size and has been letting everyone know who is the boss!!
30/01/2007 - We have received 2 new photos of Hugo.
....this young lady has gone to live with a family who have owned a basset in the past. She is a very nicely marked puppy, very striking, a very gentle girl and fairly quiet, but she is very loving once you get to know her. She was one of the first pups to go and has settled in very nicely, she has gone to live with a German Shepherd cross called Dexter.

....this sweet little girl was the smallest in this litter but she was so pretty and feminine, and a very loving cuddly little girl - a real sweetheart. She has gone to live with another very experienced basset family who have also had bassets for many years, she lives with another basset called Theo. He is already very much in love with her from the sounds of it.
