11 December 2011 - We are delighted to announce the arrival of our latest litter, the first in just over a year. Houndsbay Jezebeth (Nelly) had 6 lovely pups on 8th December, 4 girls and 2 boys all Tri colour.

06 November 2011 - This excellent website has been created by 8 of the UK Basset hound clubs - Health group to help give people information about bassets in general, the health of the breed and to inform people looking for a puppy what to look out for in finding a reputable breeder. Its a very well designed website and certainly worth a look!
17 October 2011 - Daisy is now being cared for by John and Shirley Sewell from Basset Welfare covering the East Midlands area.
23 September 2011 - We are currently fostering an 8 1/2 year old lemon and white spayed female Basset hound. We found her in a private rescue centre (not Basset Welfare). We took her in as she needed an experienced home in the breed she has been with us a couple of weeks as I write this. We have managed to obtain her full medical history and background so now know a lot more about her.
She is a very active and fit hound and enjoys her walks very much. She has been great with our pack, here is a short video of her with our hounds, as you can see she is somewhat different in type to our hounds, this is because she is Welsh bred.
She would suit an active retired couple as she is not an old 8 year old, she can be aloof with strangers but is fine once she gets to know you, she needs to be in an experienced basset home one that understands the breed. She is very freindly and enjoys a cuddle, she is not keen on children so must not go to a home with small children around.

26 July 2011 - A freind has a 10 month old Lemon and white bitch that is looking for a
nice pet home. She is KC registered & endorsed 'progeny not eligable for
registration'.
She is a very sweet girl, loves people, is fine off the lead with other dogs etc. Sadly she has to be re-homed as she doesnt get on with a couple of our freinds dogs and its causing unrest within her pack.
Wilma would be best suited to a mature family, with experience in the breed and would probably benefit from being an only dog. For more info on Wilma please contact Belinda directly on Tel: 01488 71819.

19 April 2011 - Now Vienna is 5 months old she has joined the pack. Here is a short video of her with the rest of our hounds.
05 April 2011 - We currently have a 5 month old male pup available. He is very special in that he is a very rare full red blanket, his dam was originally bred
in France we imported her from a show home in Belgium. He is KC
endorsed 'Progeny not eligable for registration' this will not be lifted under any circumstances.
We are looking for a very special pet home for Flynn. We want someone experienced in the breed, ideally with an older spayed bitch as a companion this would be perfect...We arent in any rush to re-home him and will be taking our time to find the right home for him. 14 March 2011 - We had a nice day at Crufts on Saturday 12th March, Bentley (Houndsbay Donatello) did very well in his class. Here is a short video.

15 February 2011 - This is Houndsbay Vienna who we kept from Venice's litter. We soon realised early on what a special girl she is, so she will be staying with us and making her show debut in May 2011. Vienna will have her own page on our website shortly.
24 January 2011 - Our next planned litter is with Nelly (Houndsbay Jezebeth) in Autumn 2011. The sire will be announced nearer the time. We are currently in the process of taking names and vetting people for this future litter so if you are interested then please contact us for further info. Experienced basset homes generally prefered.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our most exciting litter to date! The dam is our beautiful Venice who we imported from Belgium earlier in the year, the sire is Malrich Sir Ruff Diamond, this outstanding young hound has had a spectacular show career to date and we feel he will be a huge influence on the breed in future years, a big thank you to Malcom and Debbie Ellrich for letting us use James. Venice had her pups on 14th November 5 boys and 1 girl, to our knowledge this is the first litter of Red Blankets that have been born in the UK in recent years. We will be looking for very special homes for these puppies and experienced homes are generally prefered. All our pups carry the usual KC endorsements 'Progeny not eligable for registration' they will leave us with their first vaccination, a health check letter signed and stamped by our Vets, care sheet, diet sheet, 4 weeks free insurance through Pet Plan and 1 week of Orijen puppy food & puppy pack. 27 October 2010 - Our Lily has recently become a TV star! We were asked back in May this year to do a photo shoot by a pet modeling agency, their client a large carpet company wanted a Basset. Lily had exactly what they were looking for and she has recently been on TV and in various national newspapers. So watch out for her, the advert is being shown on Friday evenings during Coronation St.

29 August 2010 - We are very excited to announce the arrival from Belgium of Venice Du Lac Sacre d 'Amon. She is a stunning Red blanket bitch who was originally bred in France by Mme Valrie Thonnon-Duez (Du Lac Sacre d 'Amon Basset hounds) www.lac-sacre-amon.fr . We owe a big thank you to Tom and Etelka of (Avaleur Du Sabre Basset hounds) www.bassethoundbelgium.be for giving us the opportunity to own such a stunning bitch.
We are planning to have one very special litter with her later this year (sire will be announced nearer the time) after this she will spend her retirement with us. Venice will be getting her own page on our website shortly. Meanwhile she is settling in well and the rest of our pack have accepted her.

07 June 2010 - Our friends bitch Brunell Mayfair (Molly) had her pups yesterday. She had 10 in all, 7 girls and 3 boys. All are Tri colour except one Red and White male, mum and babies doing well.

26 May 2010 - Gertie had her pups today, she had 9 beautiful babies all Tri Colour, 6 girls and 3 boys. All the bitches are now spoken for but we still have 2 dogs available from this litter.

17 May 2010 - Dylan was mated to Brunell Mayfair (Mollie) around Easter time, all the signs are looking positive for her being in whelp. These pups will be born on or around the 7th June and will be 8 weeks old in early August, they will also be KC endorsed.
We are going to be dealing with the initial enquiries/vetting for this litter as well so please contact us for more info on this forthcoming litter. We are also currently still taking enquires for Gertie's litter due in just over a week.
